Mizoram would like to be Bhutan, attract sensitised tourists with restrictions: Minister Hmar

In an ambitious move, Mizoram plans to emulate Bhutan's sustainable tourism model over the next five to ten years. The state government is gearing up to analyze how increased tourism could affect local culture and communities. To facilitate this, the Chief Minister will petition the Centre for eased travel permits for international tourists, while community training on responsible tourism will be prioritized in the upcoming year.
