Third runway at Delhi Airport operational after rehabilitation

Delhi International Airport Limited has recommissioned Runway 11R/29L, also known as the third runway, from September 20 following a rehabilitation programme that began in February. The project included runway resurfacing, pavement strengthening, a new Rapid Exit Taxiway, airfield lighting upgrades and other infrastructure works aimed at improving operational efficiency, safety and resilience.
