Vikas Pansare assumes charge as Director of Maharashtra Tourism Directorate

The Government of Maharashtra has appointed IAS officer Vikas Pansare as Director of the Directorate of Tourism following a bureaucratic reshuffle. He assumed charge on July 30, 2026, succeeding Mangesh Joshi. Pansare will lead tourism policy implementation, destination promotion and sustainable tourism initiatives, while the Directorate acknowledged Joshi's contribution to strengthening Maharashtra's tourism sector.
