Tripura's lone airport upgraded for passenger movement & infrastructure development

Tripura Airport Upgrade: Tripura's Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport has been upgraded from Grade III to Grade II by the Airport Authority of India, while efforts to declare it an international airport are ongoing. This change will increase manpower and upgrade the Airport Director's rank. Plans to operate flights between Agartala and Chittagong, Bangladesh remain uncertain due to unrest.
