UP to encourage and train local residents to open paying guest accommodation during Mahakumbh

Prayagraj is preparing for Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. Authorities plan to install 150,000 toilets across mela grounds. The project will be completed by December 15. The Tourism Department is launching a paying guest accommodation programme. Local residents are encouraged to register their homes. This initiative will provide pilgrims with affordable housing. It will also provide local residents with income.
