40 tourism projects get nod to boost lesser-known destinations in India

Tourism Projects India: The Centre has approved 40 projects worth over INR 3,295 crore to develop lesser-known tourist destinations in 23 states into iconic sites. The initiative aims to balance tourist distribution, enhance tourism experiences, promote local economies, and ensure sustainable growth. The projects, to be completed within two years, will receive funds by March 2026.
